I've said it before and obviously didn't stick with it and this time may be the same but I'm seriously considering not moving to the next-gen consoles. I hate the direction modern gaming is going in.

I just finished Silent Hill f and it is my greatest disappointment since FF7 Rebirth. Everything about it is enjoyable except for the gameplay itself.

When a content creator gets to be so far up their own ass that they become unbearable, that's when I'm happy to scrub all support for them. I try to be very particular about which creators I decide to support, and most seem pretty fantastic. There are a couple of duds though.

With all the RE discourse, some good advice to remember is to not hold a character accountable for the fandoms they produce.

The people saying that they don't understand the No Kings protests from over the weekend are being so willingly obtuse that it's painful to read.

I've been seeing a lot of recent posts bashing Gears of War for really goofy reasons. It's not above criticism but let's not sit here and bash it over childish console tribalism reasons. It was a successful franchise for a reason and I'm happy to see it coming out again.

This could honestly work as a decent way to gauge just how willing a media outlet is willing to distort the truth. The more they downplay the No Kings protests and their success, the farther they are from truthful reporting.
Just to say it again, the Big Beautiful Protests (the No Kings marches) involved 5 million people and were likely the largest day of protest in America EVER. News outlets that downplay this fact, are lying.

Really Call of Duty should just have it's own annual show. I like the single player modes of most of the Call of Duty games and am interested in them but they should not be using it as the "One More World Premiere" for any variety gaming show.

Now that GTA6 dropped it's release date, the other big companies have been much more willing to settle on dates. I hate that one game held the entire industry hostage for several months.

I don't want a game that takes 10 years or a billion dollars or whatever to make. AAA games end up being overdeveloped and still manage to under deliver. That isn't sustainable.

So I'm going to a wedding here in a few days that my fiancée is a bridesmaid in. I'm not an expensive clothes kind of person.
We went out shopping for a bit of higher end stuff and the dude at the store was saying I could expect about $1k for an outfit.
I almost laughed at him.

Today's Game Design Thing That Irritates Me:
When a character is speaking but if you're not looking right at them, they might as well be muted. In real life I can hear people behind me just fine. That's not the case in many video games these days though.
