New tomb raider 1-3 achievements? Update soon?! :D

#hypogea is a wonderful little platformer game. Always introducing new gameplay elements and ends at just the right time. Really good classic Tomb Raider vibes.

Arctic Eggs is a very weird, but very fun game.

Final film of spooktober, The Witch.
Been meaning to watch this for years and it didn't disappoint. A 17th century Puritan family are banished to the wilderness & an evil force preys on them. Like most great horrors, more drama than cheap scares, loved the family falling apart. But there is a witch.

Todays the end of spooktober!
Watched Event Horizon, it's Hellraiser in space. Set the groundwork for stuff like dead space. Not an all timer, but cool to see what other stuff took inspo from.
Saw the long walk, Carried by the writing and acting, feel for the characters and then they get taken out.

Yet more spooky movies!
Rewatched what lies beneath, back of the DVD case pretty much spoils the story. By the numbers ghost drama/thriller. Lil bit spooky, forgettable.
Also rewatched pathology, fun watch but not amazing. New guy joins an undergound pathologist murder club. Dont eat while watching!

More spooktober!
Rewatched mirrors, not as good as i remembered. Guy has to save family from demons in mirrors. Pretty gory.
Saw friday the 13th for the first time. Meh to start with, but pretty tense as it goes on. Killers identity was cool, must have been wild back in '80. Also has Kevin Bacon?

Finished Metroid Fusion for the first time and this thing can get in the sea. What a terrible boss. #metroid

Todays spooktober movie!
Bring her back, the 2nd movie from the Philippou bros.
Loved this one. Wasn't a big fan of their last film, talk to me, but this one is so good.
2 kids end up with a fosterer, demonic hijinx ensue
Great characters & story. Really got invested in the brother and half-sister.

Behind on spooktober so have a 2'fer that works well together.
Good boy: Horror from a dogs POV. Cool concept, can get pretty tense, good story, best boy
In a violent nature: Horror from killers POV. Loved how story was told through ppl stalked. Pretty gory, can get a lil boring with all the walking

Not many days of the month left... yesterday's movie was Cuckoo.
Really enjoyed it, had a nice mystery and the monster was a cool concept. Some parts were pretty creepy and the story was interesting. Deff check it out

Yesterdays spooky movie was Many Deaths of Ian Stone. Ineresting premise, shadowy demon kills a guy who then wakes up in a different life and continues to be hunted.
Liked the mystery, does get kinda silly by the end when you know what's going on.

Spooktober movie! 28 years later! First 50 mins was really good, tense and beautiful visuals but then it just goes all over the place tone-wise. No idea what the kid was thinking, barely survived out with dad then taking his sick mum alone. Get the msg it was going for, just so many 'huh?' moments.

Abosulte cinema. Never going sperlunking in my life. 10/10

Another day, another spooktober movie, this time The Faculty.
Invasion of the body snatchers, meets the thing set in a 90s high school. Really fun movie, with a young Elijah Wood & T-1000 Robert Patrick. Deff a movie you'll rewatch every so often.

Halfway through spooktober and there's alotta zombies atm.
Rewatched return of the living dead 3, better than the second, it's not a comedy, no idea why it traumatised me as a kid 😅 Starts great, then it kinda peters out.
Then more zombos with dawn of the dead remake, pretty decent, not really scary
October 16, 2025 at 3:23 PM
Was looking forward to return of the living dead 2 but it turned out to be kinda boring. Not as good as the first, nothing really interesting happens. I liked that two 2 of the main characters were the same actors and caused the outbreak again, just wish it was more fun.

Forgot to post yesterday's spooktober movie! Return of the living dead!
Found a copy of the 3rd film, it traumatised me as a kid on vhs, so started from the first one.
It's actually a horror comedy, loved the zombies setting up traps for ppl and using the radio to ask for more cops/emts
Fun watch

It's a classic, was a massive influence on Silent Hill & other psychological horrors, if you've not seen Jacob's Ladder, get it watched. A great story that stays with you well after the credits have rolled.

Finally watched the lost boys for the first time. Really enjoyed it, it's like a more adult goonies. Also, Vamp Sutherland is hot.
October 11, 2025 at 10:35 PM
Forgot how good Jeepers Creepers is, really enjoy the creepyness happening in the background of shots and how it starts with just 2 siblings and ends up with a whole police force facing off against the monster.
October 10, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Forgot to post yesterdays movie, chain letter.
Story was really bad, guy sends young adults a chain letter email and if they don't forward it, he kills them. No idea who it was, or why. Thought this was a 2000 movie with all the 'technology evil' but it's from 2010...
Kills are pretty brutal though
October 10, 2025 at 10:26 AM
Todays film was a little bit better, only just.
Banned by the bbfc when it released in '89 until 2002, Curfew is about two murderous brothers who escape prison and torment the ppl who sent them to death. Pretty campy by todays standards.
October 8, 2025 at 10:39 PM
Much better than the first film. Someone shoots Nathan Fillions' family and after a near death experience, he can see whos gonna die soon, but maybe they shouldn't be saved..
Tonnes of jump scares & the ending is a bit silly.
Also played the new FMV game dead reset last night, fun gory b-movie scifi
