We did our best to stick to the facts and I haven't seen any facts pointing to DHH's involvement in any of this. Like I said in the episode I reserve my right to change my opinion if new information comes out but at this time trying to link DHH to any of this feels like invoking the boogyman.

Ruby community: Look, we can be angry about what's happening, we can raise our complaints, but under no circumstances should anyone _ever_ harass someone's families, coworkers, or friends.

That is completely unacceptable, and wholly against the ethos of the language. We must do better.

The amount of times I reference my past work to remember how to do something is crazy. This is part of the reason why I rarely delete code. If I am about to delete something that isn't back by git I'll literally copy it into an obsidian doc just to have a reference for it.
