I've a fondness for it across the board, and doubly so with dark chocolate. I *really* enjoy a strong peppermint tea with no extra sweeteners! Otherwise, just happy when it starts showing up in stuff. Peppermint hot chocolate is a favorite evening-ender. <3

The Great Fairy looms large in the darkness that swallows up the room around him, her pleased smile fading into the shadows. "But... I would much prefer seeing you wield it, my honest hero," she says. Link looks over his shoulder to sheathe his refined Master Sword behind him, with its golden glow illuminating his face. In his right hand, still gripping the shield, the silver arrows also glow at his side. The torches held by the monstrous statues suddenly flare back to light with an audible "fwoosh", illuminating a now-still and empty spring, much to Link's surprise. There's no sight of the Great Fairy in the chamber, nor her smoke, just the broken fairy statue standing vigil over her waters. Only her voice remains, echoing. "You too, will see your desires realized," she reassures. For a moment, Link gazes upwards quietly with a look of gentle awe, then turns to leave, giving one last glance over his shoulder with a faint smile towards the spring. Her voice rings out one last time from the rippling spring waters, as Link's silhouette darkens the triangle-shaped hole in the pyramid wall that he entered from, sword glowing as brightly as the light pouring in from outside. "Defeat him, so we both may emerge from this realm... changed and free."

Suddenly, Link finds the golden sword forced into his hand, the Great Fairy's fingers phasing through his own as she melts into smoke. He barely has a moment to grasp what just happened before her voice echoes again at his side, forcing him to tense up with his new blade at the ready. "Gold to wound." The Great Fairy appears, taller and looming over him again, fanning out a collection of silver arrows in front of her grinning face with one hand. She smiles at him through the gaps of their glowing tips. "And silver to banish." With a snap of her wrist, she gathers all the arrows into a single bundle in her palm, and reaches out to hand them off to Link. Link, understandably, hesitates, gripping his lifted shield tightly in anticipation, but eventually, he relents, and holds up his hand to take the offering, fingers still looped into the grip of his shield. The Great Fairy speaks again. "He still thinks my magic is also his... simply because I embraced the darkness."

The room suddenly fills with billowing steam and smoke from the instantly quenched heat, the force of which Link has to hold up his shield to brace against. The Great Fairy's face is visible above the steam for a moment, half-closed eyes and thorn-scraped scars glowing red. Now left in the dark, Link coughs into his hand, squinting upwards where the Great Fairy once was. His ear perks to a sound cutting through the smoke. The sound of a blade cutting through air. He turns just in time, shield raised, to deflect a blow from the Great Fairy lunging at him through the fog, now Hylian-sized and wielding the Master Sword against him. The sword now glows a bright gold from blade to hilt, illuminating her face and his as the magic blade grinds sparks against his shield.

Link looks up at the Great Fairy with a faintly determined expression, before he shakes his head no again. She presses a sharp nail to her lower lip beneath a bemused smile in response. "Hmm... Then you trust that my decisions aren't inherently cruel... simply because I've embraced a selfish face." We zoom out to see more of her intrigued expression as she muses aloud. "Just as your decisions aren't inherently selfless, simply because you are the hero. You don't wish to save the world for its sake... nor for the sake of the goddesses. They burdened you with rescuing their accursed treasure, after all." The headless fairy statue stands in silent vigil above them both, bringing attention to the triangular treasure in its hands. The Great Fairy's expression grows more wild as she speaks, eyes widening, mouth opening in an excited grin. "No. You will save it for YOUR sake. YOUR reasons, whatever they are. Because THAT is what will make you see this through. What desire will you plunge into the abyss to chase? What do you change yourself for, hero?"
