Pumpkins themselves are a relatively recent phenomenon, been on the increase in the last 25 years compared to the turnips we used to use. Partly Americanisation and partly because they’re a lot easier to carve.

There are similar ‘fires’ above the hills of Derbyshire, England.
Also the will 0’ the wisp fires above the fens marshes in East Anglia

It was just the first change I was confused by, then I was used to it. Interestign work. I enjoyed it.
