I’m all for autonomous vehicles. I would love to see autonomous mass transit buses. As for winter driving, future AVs (by Zoox, for example) will have all wheel independent steering and driving. A technology that can easily navigate in snow and ice, and that no human can master.

Trump should be allowed to run. What should have happened is that people should not have voted for him. Don’t excuse the stupidity of the electorate for the election of a terrible candidate. It is the civic duty of the people to vet and decide on whether to hire a candidate. That’s it.

There have been good politicians who have been convicted of various crimes. Eugene Debs, for one.

Some convicts may actually be great political leaders someday.

The person’s character, as affected by the conviction, matters more.
