GP. Medicolegal research on patient safety, especially in prisons. Next big project: amputation, capacity and the coroner.
That would be delightful, yes. I’d gladly email a more formed recollection, if that would help.

St Barts. Cotswold beige and sheepskins: faux-countrified blandness for Clive Christian acolytes who dislike mud. The ingredients were cooked superbly; it’s just a shame they coalesced into a memory not unlike the interior: beige. And >£400 for beige, even Farrow & Ball beige, is just too much.

All 14 courses were explained by the otherwise delightful staff, yet I was reminded of Bourdain’s comment that, if you are told how to eat your food, it isn’t worth eating.
The highlight, despite its Michelin status and salubrious atmosphere: chicken liver pâté, perfectly executed and meaningful.

The restaurant piece reminded me of a recent table-for-one, costing more than a weekend away, where my Dow’s 30 year Tawny was poured (along with its 30 years of sediment) into my glass from a bottle upside down. The ruination of what was meant to be joyous experimentation of my credit card limit.

It is a little challenging. At first glance, it looks like:

“My Dearest Mama, [completely?] I [cocord?] [safely?], you from this I could not account for it if I was not on my way, it seems like a drama”

I’m not certain about the parenthesised words presently.

No problem :) It works for any address you’ve got, so is definitely worth bearing in mind. Very handy for any article for which a subscription is curiously absent.

I find that it’s advisable to use Internet archive unless one wishes to complete the crossword.

Not so far away, Harlow is a funny place to drink. A mixture of ye olde beams to smack your head on, in a couple of the surviving old places, counterposed with newer flat-roofed places. For me, it is the latter that wins. Full of old boys who park the mobility scooter outside to watch the match.

Perhaps some more correspondence on eating, in the mould of your excellent pieces on drinking. ‘In search of phall whilst somewhat piddled’ sort of thing.
