A little part of me is always sad to see the end of summer weather which carries an air of freedom. Another part of me enjoys hunkering down, quiet fires, comfort foods. Every season is a gift. Grateful for the beauty of each one.

I never got to meet my Uncle Frank, railway fireman & bagpiper. He died from polio before the vaccine was developed. My grandmother bought the engagement ring he gave to his girlfriend before he died age 19. #VaccinesSaveLives
