It is extremely rare to be expelled from a learned society. It only happens when a violation of the organization’s code of conduct or ethics has been violated.
I think 2018 was the last time we voted to revise the code.

I agree with the sentiment, but charity is a less effective way to pay for education than taxes.
The collective benefits are more likely when processes needed for collective investment occur.
At the very least, there is an increased incentive to use preexisting mechanisms for community engagement.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I agree with much of the argument, but would have taken it a bit further.
People emulate what they think a “convincing speaker” looks like. Their role models use SAT words or coin phases, they try to do the same.
If their examples bully or call people names, they do that.

I’ve seen the thumbnail for the video offered on my TV, but I haven’t clicked it because I already watched it on @nebula.tv.

It’s not clear to me whether YouTube is reacting appropriately to the content, but it definitely isn’t a Mr. Beast or labubu haul video.

I wasn’t sure this was real.
Sadly, it appears to be authentic.

What if my religious belief is that you aren’t paying enough taxes?
What if my religious belief is that you should pay 2x more?
