Farcaster looks genuinely interesting but it made all the same mistakes as Nostr. You go to the website and it begins blabbing on about the protocol — most of your potential users don't care. That and the NFT stuff probably didn't help either.

it's worth pointing out it was reverse engineered years ago and Apple haven't really bothered doing anything about it. the protocol isn't exactly complicated enough to make some breaking change, and it has to remain compatible with older devices
