did the full gloss coat, decal, decal softener, then matte coat to apply them, and I wanted to keep it simple to not be too different from the rest of the model, but I do need to shade it since it's a tad bright, though highlighting the model will help balance that too

did more on the base, now I'm using some decals for the tilt shield

yep, and it was very easy to swap in the part in place of the usual power pack

a few more colours, constrasts, washes, and some of the base. I do need to get some reikland fleshshade since I prefer to use that to shade the golds, but agrax still does the job well enough

drybrushed greys to give the black some shading/highlights and making my way through the other paints

I wanted to try attaching some crozius details to the hand, but they were too big and obscured the fist, so I just settled for whatever random spare marine decorative bit I had which also had a skull. Along with the fist cabling and gun chain, that's the build done

the implied motion of the execrator's pose works well with it, which also made the jump pack a fitting addition, combined with the directional pose it reminds me of how the of the assault class in space marine 2 plays/moves, and also a chaos marine I always like the pose of

I had this specific pose in mind from the start, the angled fist and pointed other arm give a strong direction, and even maybe some implied anger with the stern expression of the helmets like a previous black templar of mine, but the pose of the execrator feeds into it too

got the powerfist part and combined it with a spare arm closer to the angle I wanted, then I just used a bit of green stuff to adjust how it connected to the torso specifically

Yeah, all the death warbands together, it's too much to buy just for just the one warband, but as that's out you can probably find the individual teams of it being resold on ebay for a better price than they were before at least

after the shoulders, this is as much as I can do for now

I want to do a kind of angled out, pointing forward powerfist for the other arm, but I'm waiting on tartaros terminator parts, as right handed powerfists are rare

I did wanna use the BT castellans skull shoulders, but the parts are separated in an awkward way, and green/blue stuff recasting didn't work well enough to use

I'm keeping this build simple so just going with the original shoulder pads, which have some skulls on them at least
