Possibly, but there have been sporadic sightings for at least 10 years within the city. I remember hearing of 3 (or 4) at Gardyne College some years ago but can't find details of the actual record. Comments on Facebook suggest they are still at Gardyne College & sightings in Barnhill (same birds?).

They are smaller than most folk expect them to be.

There was one seemingly lost in Douglas in 2024. Another from Kirriemuir in recent weeks but it appears to be a male. Might try to find out more about the apparent Dundee population size.

They are also seen in Barnhill apparently. Has the aviary lost any birds?

Checked missing pets page on FB first. Gonna keep trying to add something else so I get 150 even if the Parakeet isn’t counted.

By sounds of things they are already here - though numbers are still low. I remember a report of 3 or 4 at Gardyne College from probably 6 or 7 years ago but nothing after that, until researching today’s sighting, where I found FB comment saying there are ‘some’ still there (& Barnhill). Same birds?
