In a love-hate relationship with the Houston Cougars, the Big 12, college sports in general, and the human race.
Shoutout to Aubrey Coleman who had 7 in a game 3 times

The record is 11 steals by Clyde Drexler against Syracuse. Flemings is tied with Jamal Shead, Oliver Lafayette, Dominic Smith, Ken Ciolli x3, and Cecil Rose.

I held out hope for Tugler, year 3 has always been when the bigs take a leap offensively in this program. J'Wan was a black hole offensively until year 3. But no, Jojo's worse with the ball than last year.

It's crazy how sure I was that my big concern early on would be working 2 freshmen into the starting lineup and instead it's did Jojo and Milos get worse somehow?

Yea, same. I'm a little sad to see Campbell go, but after 10 years with the same guy in charge it'll be fun to see some fresh blood in there and I like his cv, short though it is

It's wild the way soccer seems to be a magnet for this stuff. Like congrats bud, here's your "bravely refused to care about soccer" trophy. You're a hero.

Resisting the urge to click on these people's profiles, find something they've posted that's not interesting to me, and comment "don't care"

Man, my thoughts exactly. It's shocking how many gentiles in both political parties feel comfortable standing up in public and saying that any Jewish person who doesn't share their view of Israel is an ignorant rube

Me when my wife heard me singing "oh sympathy, where have you gone" while listening to 'Somewhere Only We Know' and informed me that the line is "oh simple thing"

the other is too much to bear, but that's a decision that's up to every fan to make for themself.

Losing players to richer programs sucks. (Hope you enjoyed Charles Sims!) Losing coaches to richer programs sucks, too, and we've both known what that feels like since long before NIL or the portal. I don't get why one of those types of pain should be seen as part of the game like it always has, but

I guess I just don't see the enshittification. Cfb my whole life has been wildly fun despite the opportunities to win a natty being dominated by a handful of rich schools. I just don't see what's changed that should make me enjoy it less.

Big 12 football was fun as hell this year. You don't actually have to care about whether any B12 team is going to be a contender for a natty to enjoy it. And even if the natty is all that matters, Tech is a stronger contender than any current B12 team has been in recent memory under any format.
December 1, 2025 at 1:17 PM
In the 12 years prior to the playoff, only one natty was won by a team not currently in the B10 or SEC. I don't think NIL or the playoff format are the reason those conferences are dominating. It's because of their TV contracts.

The last 3 national championship games have each included a team that is not in the SEC and is not OSU.

But also, I'm a fan of a team that is not in the SEC, isn't OSU, and hasn't cracked the new playoff. Why would NIL or the playoff format impact my fandom even a little bit?
