Oh, right, introductions.

As my bio indicates, I'm a number of things. Most relevant to the internet, I've been making YouTube videos for over a decade, across several different topics.

Most notably, Tool Assisted Speedrun/Superplay videos, or "TASes" for short. You might've seen them.

HOLY CRAP A HIT POST (I think this is the first post of mine here to hit over 100 likes)

So, uhhhh.... Hi.

I do other Spongebob edits. Like this one. (On my YouTube Channel of the same name as my handle) bsky.app/profile/dyll...

While TASes are by far the bulk of my "portfolio", I've done general video edits of other topics too - most notably, cutting out Spongebob scenes and putting them back into Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

EPIC RAP BATTLES OF HISTORY: My OCD vs. a calculator with no off button

Consulting stack overflow and other similar human responses is a valid part of the process of learning how to code (If you take the time to understand what your issue is and how it's fixed).

consulting AI like the Golden Calf and accepting its verifiably hallucinated words is not the same thing.

"I *DON'T* use Claude, I *DON'T* use Copilot, I *DON'T* use ChatGPT or any LLMs as my coding IDE; I code and debug *BY HAND*, and if I don't figure out the problem, I THROW MY PC OUT THE WINDOW!"

Just because I have problems with myself and want them to disappear doesn't mean that the rest of those with autism should be forced to do the same thing.

Stop treating us like a singular entity when "Spectrum" is literally in the darn name.

(Thank you for coming to my TED Talk)

To claim there's a "cure" for autism, however, is utter nonsense; to announce that autism is an epidemic is both verifiably false and an admittance that you want to start a eugenics program.

Leave us alone and put that energy into solving actually meaningful problems.
dyllonstejgaming.bsky.social
But to reiterate, I feel that some of my accomplishments are *in spite of* my autism, not *because of* it; I haven't fully made peace with myself as a result of the flaws I still exhibit (It's a work in progress).

Compared to a decade ago, I can partake in conversation pretty well. My most satisfying job experience has been my current role as an assistant teacher (Ironically), where some traits of autism (Long, one sided discussions, waiting for others to start conversations) can be seen as positive aspects.

And then there's social interaction, which almost entirely requires another person to initiate (And you can just forget about romance; I don't even want to think about playing that social game).

But outside of that? I think I've got a good thing going.

And then whenever they do happen, it's another moment in time seared into my head, which I proceed to repeatedly mentally replay, cringe at, and get mad at myself for... getting mad.

A vicious cycle born in part from wanting to be a better person. Cue low self confidence. (I'm trying to fix this)

Behind that face and voice you hear chatting away on those livestreams on my channel is an entire lifetime of anger issues, meltdowns, and social problems that's been subdued "enough" through therapy and coping skills to not be an issue in most situations.

Most.

Autism's been in the public focus again, time to give my two cents as a person diagnosed with Asperger's (Now rolled into ASD Level 1) as a child.

I'm lucky enough to have the ability to live on my own and (mostly) socialize with others. It's still not all sunshine and rainbows (It never was).

My favorite overarching plot was Nagumo and her Quest for a Single Freaking Dollar Bill™

in which she tried everything under the sun. They all failed.

(But she got some free food in the midst of everything so it wasn't a total loss)

My biggest issue with CITY is that it's only 13 episodes long (Alongside some of the jokes not hitting with me, but humor is subjective so that doesn't count).

Zero percent chance they make a second season, unfortunately. It's just too well made - they can't repeat something like this again.

Maybe I'll be completely wrong, and it'll actually get good sales figures unlike Nichijou's original run, and Kyoto Animation will make a second season after all.

But given the status quo and permanence of bottom-barrel scrap that gets season after season greenlit... it doesn't seem likely.
