📢 New research!

Autism isn’t *just* about challenges

We have strengths too but these are rarely recognised, which can lead to:

- low self-esteem
- shame
- stigma
- having less direction in life

Lampinen et al explore autistic strengths in a new paper 😊

Do you relate to any of these? 👇

This week, @bbcwales.bsky.social shared an 'Easy English' and 'Easy Welsh' story highlighting the need to address early deaths in people with learning disabilities. 🌟
Bild's Kate Brackley says it's a great step forward! More accessible news means everyone can stay informed.
A blue frame around a white flyer, it has a photograph of Kate Brackley, a blonde woman wearing glasses and smiling, with the quotation: "This is the first time the news websites have ever done anything like this and I think its a great idea. It really gets the message out for people with a learning disability. I do follow BBC news on my phone and a lot of it is quite jargony, so I hope to see more things on the news being more easy read- it supports us to stay up to date." in grey text on the left hand side. Under the quote in blue text reads "Kate Brackley, Learning Disability Advisor.

Mae hefyd yn gofyn a ydych chi'n meddwl bod y Llywodraeth yn gwrando ar broblemau lleol a beth allai eich helpu i deimlo'n fwy hyderus am waith neu hyfforddiant, os yw hyn yn rhywbeth rydych chi eisiau ac yn gallu ei wneud.
