Little terrain test
While I wish citadel/GW made a darker metallic paint, putting a little Abaddon black underneath Iron Warriors helps a lot to distinguish it even right next to leadbelcher
Going to try this over the floors of my mechanicus ruins and I think I'll like it

Result? I am Level 35, wearing fully legendary Daedric armor with double enchantments on every piece and have done *literally nothing*

I assure you my new painting glasses are super cool and don't make me look like the most unfuckable dude in existence
(They are, however, giving me 3.5x magnification at arms length working distance which is fucking AWESOME)

Trying to experiment more with manually shading cloth without using washes. Incubi Darkness shades Thousand Sons Blue pretty well I think

Old school metal dreadnought cleaned up pretty nice. Going to paint him as a Dark Angel in spirit of the gift as it was given, and because I've never painted anything DA before (Space Wolf here)

Got an amazing ancient warhammer model from an older hobby friend of mine, one of the old Metal Dreadnoughts. It's basically a bludgeoning weapon.
Can't wait to work on him. I think I'll preserve the Dark Angels scheme but obviously do my own job on it.
