I hope it gets even lonelier for them.

The one thing they have in common is that they're all shitty people, and they should be kicked out of any queer space they dare to enter. Go hang out with the bigots you vote for, you sacks of shit.
A Look Inside the Lonely World of Republican Lesbians
While the vast majority of queer women identify as Democrats, these NYC lesbians are proud Republicans. Here’s why.

My bipartisan IRS MATH Act with Senator Bill Cassidy is now law.

Now, if you mess up your taxes, the IRS has to tell you where you made a mistake and how to fix it.

No more spending a fortune on lawyers or hours to find errors.

That means fewer headaches and more money in your pocket.

Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?

Can we get a decent mayor for once? Seattle did it. Come on.
Mayor Wilson pledged to end unsheltered homelessness in Portland by Dec. 1.

Today, people are still sleeping on Portland streets.

But Wilson did met one goal: He secured $$ to open his goal of 1,500 new beds. (Yet only 890 of those beds are currently open for use.)

Where we're at/what's next:
The state of Portland’s homelessness crisis, as mayor’s critical deadline passes
Mayor Wilson came into office with a pledge to end street sleeping by Dec. 1. Today, thousands still live outside.

It's World AIDS Day, which means it's time to remind everyone that Dave Grohl sucks shit.
I'll give you the short version: they sponsored & supported the most influential AIDS denialist group of the 2000's, resulting in national policies in South Africa that caused an estimated 330,000 deaths there.

They have never apologized or acknowledged what they did.

"Why didn't any of those reporters say something?"

Because if they were the type to say something, they wouldn't have been in that room to begin with.

I bought a bathroom scale because I knew I'd lost a bunch of weight during my health struggles.

I weighed about 225 before this started. Today I weigh 186. I lost forty pounds in about two months. 😳 I struggle to view myself in mirrors, as the change was so rapid and I barely recognize myself.

It is depressing to realize that even if the Democrats regain power in the future, they absolutely will not dissolve ICE or the DHS.

ICE is horrific...and also an extension of how policing has always worked, not a radical break from it.

The White House knows they can call the press names, denigrate reporters, all of it — because those same reporters and mainstream outlets are in on the scam. They get access and scoops and book deals and career advancement by cozying up to the people who publicly abuse them. They don’t care.

I dunno, there has to be a way to criticize a progressive politician from the left that isn't "Guess this person is just establishment trash now" when they do one thing differently from how you wanted them to.

I just saw a headline that read "AI-assisted shopping is the talk of the holiday shopping season" and 1) lol no it fucking isn't and 2) I want to set every single AI sycophant on fire for this desperately avaricious onslaught.

The "strong floor" here *should* mean universal healthcare and a UBI, but it doesn't. So what the hell *does* it mean?

Ordinary people come up with better messaging than the Democratic Party 100% of the time. Therefore, it isn't incompetence--it's *purposefully* bad messaging. Deliberately bad.
Strong Floor, No Ceiling is considerably worse than No Rules, Just Right. Can’t believe we’re gonna lose the messaging war to Outback Steakhouse.

A friend was selling off some of his vast vinyl collection; I grabbed his (sealed!) copy of Under the Pink. I'm never going to have a huge collection like his--I'm focusing on albums that are special to me, and this is my favorite of Amos' albums. And the pink vinyl looks (and sounds) lovely.

Reading about this heinous essay reminded me of an entirely different experience I had in a class where I had to write reaction essays. I got all A's on them until one week I got a C. I asked the teacher why, and his whole response was to offer to me to read the essays he'd given A's to that week.
