A friend was selling off some of his vast vinyl collection; I grabbed his (sealed!) copy of Under the Pink. I'm never going to have a huge collection like his--I'm focusing on albums that are special to me, and this is my favorite of Amos' albums. And the pink vinyl looks (and sounds) lovely.

I am finally getting around to watching this. I like Nicole Holofcener's films and I don't know how it passed me by. So far it seems sweeter than the other films I know of hers.

The bf and I put up this shelf in the dining room under my print of Dalí's Last Supper. We threw some stuff on it, and it turned out okay I think! He wanted the bottle of Spirit of Hven because the dining room is primarily orange. 🟠 And he stuck half a minifig in Audrey II's mouth. 😅🪴

I wasn't particularly taken with Matt Maltese's most recent album, Hers, when it came out, but has since grown on me considerably. I think Driving Just to Drive (2023) is his best album so far, but this is a solid album, too. (I hate this cover, though.)

If you're wondering if this is the album "The Freshmen" is from, it isn't--that was on their 1996 release Villains. (Their self-titled had the single "Hero" on it.)

Holy hell, Guided by Voices has yet another album out. I like it! Many parts of it remind me of the Verve Pipe's 1999 self-titled album a great deal, which is not an album I've thought of in some time.
