I remember seeing the photos of an artist who used similar film to capture snowy winter scenes, and the grain was so pronounced that it practically looked like brushstrokes in a painting. The effect is similar here I think!

I just picked this up for my partner while he's out of town. I have no idea where he's gonna put it 😭😅

Precisely.

Again, the one thing they all have in common is they're all bigots. They're racist, transphobic, colonialist (fuck your Zionism), et cetera. They aren't to be trusted, and they should be completely ostracized from the rest of the queer community.

"Brodsky has lost friends due to her political affiliations. 'I gotta be in the closet,' she says, referring not to her sexual orientation but to her political identity when in LGBTQ spaces."

Oh, go set yourself on fire. You are not a victim. You are victimizing others.

Yeah, sometimes people try to pull the "That's how everyone was then" argument, but ... wow, no they weren't. Yes, Europe was pretty antisemitic, but Wagner's words were pointedly horrible even then. All because he was jealous of Meyerbeer's success. Ridiculous.

You're free to do that. I'll keep doing what I'm doing.

I'm not a team player. I just recognize that US national politics is structurally limited to two political parties. I'm a member of neither.

The issue is that the headline/sublines deliberately don't tell you what it is.

Your response makes no sense.
December 1, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Are you suggesting that we cannot criticize politicians we voted for?
December 1, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Frankly, I don't believe you. Muting now.

I don't have to provide an alternative in order to criticize your take.

Something else that is far less reflexively forgiving.

You're the one claiming it was an "error." It's not true just because you say it is.

Wild for the Atlantic to publish this, considering how much they've done to effect this situation.
December 1, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Like, "They could never do enough to make up for this" is just a way of trying to handwave away the odiousness of "They haven't even *tried* to do even a single damn thing."
December 1, 2025 at 6:11 PM
I don't know, but refusing to even acknowledge that it even happened is a black mark against them.
December 1, 2025 at 6:10 PM
What have they done to atone for their actions? Because so far it's been "pretend like it never happened."
