Rudy's work is why I always liked "appview" and thought it was a perfectly fine term

you'll also need the dataplane which connects to postgres

it's still in the "have to read code to figure out how to make it work" stage, but the building blocks are there

those last three apps (I'm not sure how WW does it) can be thought of more like alt clients to the bluesky appview

so a ban on bluesky will be felt on those apps

but apps can index their own data and ignore the bluesky mod service if they want to

both of these things are open source on their github

they run a different dataplane on production that isn't open source, but they have a postgres implementation available that works

I remember seeing a custom feed on here that populated itself by searching against a Wikipedia moderation regex that consisted of "overused meme phrases"

Called something like "Rule 741"

I can't find it now. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?
