I had the fortune to meet Jim Lovell on a few occasions. He was a kind human, a loving family man and an amazing astronaut. He was an inspiration to a young naval aviator.

I hope that he and Marilyn are together again on the far side of the stars.

Deonte and I got our Master's degrees together at UChicago - Harris. He had a bright smile and a memorable laugh. I am hoping he will be found safely.

A Great Horned Owl sits on a branch. The owl is fairly large with grey and white plumage and yellow eyes. Its face appears to say that it has seen some shit and it is tired of people trying them.

I got my boyfriend a Shinola watch like this one and he loves it. Good everyday watch but still works well with a suit or tux. Made in Detroit.

Update: operation snow globe was a success. This is what we woke up to.

We weatherproofed our back porch into what will hopefully be a snow globe when we wake up.
