I lived there from 1976 to 78, and the sky at eye level in the morning was always brown. Had to look up to see sky. It would all blow away by late afternoon, to Pomona and environs. Not a good air quality system! Seems so much better now!?

It’s a weird environment around those thermal wells. It looked like a swarm, but why did they all die at once ? Thanks for helping me ID the poor guys.

Are these the remains of millipedes? Found at The Geysers in Sonoma County, CA. Approximately 2” across.
