well, i get to leave here around 4 tomorrow evening which means getting back home around 8pm hopefully*
also taking a day off from work because there's no way i'll be fit for work on tuesday

even when things are going "okay" they are still exhausting & stressful

Probably one of the more gruesome I could have picked - the Sagari are horse spirits who get caught up in trees and then hang from them usually by their intestines and hassle travellers on the roads - quite grim!

things in the middle of nowhere change slowly and other than the trees being taller and everyone's hair being greyer, things are pretty much as they have always been

well just saw my mom in the hospital and she's doing fine (the dr called just as we were getting into town to inform us of her rapid improvement... she MIGHT even be released back) into the wild in a couple days
so now i'm lying in my old bedroom watching THE THING on cable like i was 20 again

looks like i'll be taking an emergency trip to the middle of nowhere to visit my mother in the hospital

no real indications on longer term aspects of the situation & communication has been ambiguous at best so this is a "just-in-case" scenario visit i guess
