My complex social media policy

Follow: you post stuff I want to see

Block: you post stuff I actively dislike and do not want to see

Mute: I'm not interested but lots of people quote you (and that's fine)

None of the above: you're mostly harmless or I don't know you.

:)

All of Jonathan Bachman's photo's from the Baton Rouge protests are haunting, the one you're referring to, and the one of the guy on the ground, eyes wide open and accusing, with a cop kneeling on his head.

Haunting. But we don't change. We don't learn.

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

So Israel can't gain intelligence on anything they organised before-hand, any contacts not with the flotilla, etc.

It's definitely my least favourite of the DLC for Age of Empires. I thought the two previous DLCs were pretty bad (Age of Racist Uncle Energy and Age of Grandad What Are You Talking About) which is a shame because the Age of Intellect and Representation was pretty fucking good.

New! Cassetteboy vs Keir Starmer.

This took absolutely ages, so if you'd like to buy us a coffee at ko-fi.com/cassetteboy we'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Investigate, and if enough evidence exists, charge, prosecute and seek a conviction. No one is above the law. Time for us to prove it.

but because of the complexity of that these days, and the number of skills required to produce that roof, we use an abstract trade object (money). If we remove all the ways people can earn money, then we must, as a people, remove the need to spend it as well.

Otherwise, we are truly doomed.
eightbittony.bsky.social
To me, it's simple. If you need money to live, you should be able to earn money in any industry. If an industry wants to replace humans, then that industry should stop charging money for it's service.

We trade one thing for something we don't have, we trade skills for a roof over our head,

So I stood the needle case in it, held above the bottom of the cup the resin was in. And then i turned away the excess, and I've now got a needle case with a purple resin base. Quite pleased!
A photograph of a hand holding a wooden needle case, about four or five centimetres tall, by around 1.5cm wide. The wood is a mix of chocolate brown streaks and paler grain, with 5 burned in rings. The base of the tube is a piece of purple resin, attached to fix a mistake when I essentially cut the wood off too short and left the entire thing hollow. I didn't throw it away - just kept it hanging around in the shed. Last week, when I was mixing a small amount of resin to fill a void in a bowl, I had some left over.
