I was certainly very happy there when I lived there (way back when the Castle Mall shopping centre was being built, I was one of the archaeologists who did the dig ahead of the development. It's really weird to go back and see what it looks like now).

Yes, they are - because choirs and rugby are Welsh, bagpipes and kilts are Scottish, harps and shamrocks are Irish.
The Neanderthals going on about British culture never mean those things, do they?

We're the country of Shakespeare, Elgar, Wordsworth, real ale, morris dancing and far more, but I never see the "patriots " celebrating any of these things

Little Women. I was 11.

I've put together Crowley's disguise to infiltrate Heaven, and I haven't had a chance to wear it anywhere yet - I'm planning on EasterCon next year.

I'm rewatching DS9 with a friend at the moment.
Yes, there is progression from week to week with story arcs like a soap opera, but each episode also gives us so much to talk about on ethics and all sorts of issues.
DS9 is one of the best versions of Trek.

Good grief! When I went to Trek Cons in the 1980s, they were mostly organised by women, and the attendance was something like 80% women!
I remember a survey which found that the typical Trek fan was either a nurse or a teacher/librarian, both overwhelmingly female occupations at the time.
