Last week working in the marvellous Charleville Mall Library, before I move on to the one in Finglas, where I grew up. Full circle.

Pick up a poem from our Poetry Pyramid for #PoetryDayIreland which takes place tomorrow, to enrich your day.

Enjoyed a really fascinating guided walk this morning along and around Dorset St.
Our guide John Seery was so knowledgeable and interesting!

I've passed these places my whole life and never knew the history behind them. Will look at them in a new light now.

Have this reminder in my phone for today as am calling into my neighbour Pat later for a drink.

Pat Ingoldsby's marvellous 80s children's TV show gave us language and expressions that I still use today.

Discovered his poetry as an adult in recent years.

Recently moved on from my job in @ucdlibrary.bsky.social

Delighted that I had my first library job there, and really lucky to have been part of the Health Sciences and Vet Medicine Library team there, amongst many other lovely colleagues. A hard team to leave.

On to the next adventure 🙌🏻📚

Again, I lay the majority of the blame for these findings at the feet of @rtegold.bsky.social and their outstanding presenters

Got a loan of a poetry collection from a colleague - really like this poem, made me think of plenty of my former colleagues who came from the Philippines to nurse in Dublin. The hardship of being an immigrant and leaving loved ones behind, whilst caring for our loved ones. #poetry

I just finished reading this. Really liked it.
First time I've read anything by Elizabeth Strout.
Any recommendations on what I might read of hers next?

A beautiful concert in the Helix DCU last night - Cinematic Classics, performed by the amazing RTÉ Concert Orchestra. Cinema Paradiso - Ennio Morricone was a total highlight.
So great to have somewhere like the Helix on my doorstep!
