Haven't heard their album yet! Runeshard is the best Bal-Sagoth tribute act I've heard, so I'm curious how they compare.

There have been a few Bal-Sagoth tribute acts over the years that try to imitate his narrating style, and they all come up short. I'd kill for just one more Bal-Sagoth album

It also bugs the shit out of me that he's wormed his way into the good graces of basically every up-and-coming power metal band. It's a small scene, and he knows exactly what he's doing to the narrative by being everyone's friend.

I can't stand going to r/powermetal because inevitably the comments are always full of people hyping Alestorm / Gloryhammer and going on about what a "nice guy" Chris is.

When people bring up the group chat, it's not even argued with, just ignored. Everyone knows yet no one cares.

They played an EXCELLENT set, but I was so disappointed to see that the venue was maybe only half full. They still gave it their all for a podunk college town in Kansas!

For my show they dropped Scream for Me, The Bell In the Jail and Someone's Dream but they added M.D.O. and fuckin RAISE SOME HELL, so that's a huge win in my book even with one less song on the setlist overall
