I think that a 16 in the article, not a 10.

In Sept. 1926, she did call a special session that allowed the Texas Legislature to investigate any aspect of state government. But for ”Ma” the damage was already done, her actions in office would doom her attempt at a second term in 1926. She was later re-elected in 1932. She died in 1961.

Dear @paulaforbes.bsky.social , Thank you for your food wisdom. You‘ve convinced me that the middle layer should be a pecan pie filling. I just have to figure out the cookie base and a creative top layer. Either way, it’s more Texan than this 👇

Thank you for all the choices!-Everyone should know @paulaforbes.bsky.social recipes are BUTTER! I was hoping to do a Texified version of a three layer no bake cookie bar like the Canadian original. And I've exhausted my church, and school cookbooks looking for a Lone Star lookalike.

Chekaluk started pitching for the Edmonton Eskimos in 1921. A history of Western Canadian Minor League Ball noted he was “either a Esqumau Inuit or a 2nd generation Russian”

Wait, Alexander Acosta is on the board? The former US Secretary of Labor ? The guy who let Epstein go in Florida?

Anna Lapwood is doing something Winston Churchill never did-visiting Texas! Her 2 city Texas tour is all sold out and she’s bringing the power and passion of her music to her performances in the same way the PM used to awe audiences with his words. #annalapwood #texas #classical #organ

60 years after the Beatles first played in Dallas, Anna Lapwood is leading a 2nd English Invasion-this time led by the power of the Pipe Organ and her Masterful Playing and Arrangement. Both legs of her Texas Tour are sold out. She is classical music’s bomb diggity! #annalapwood #texas #beatles

Dear #Texas, we are so lucky! 2 shows of Anna Lapwood are inbound! She absolutely is the 💣!!! And she has been slaying all summer-2 packed shows at the Koln Cathedral (and SRO in the streets outside); Overnite Proms, and killing it at the Royal Albert every chance she gets. #dallas #collegestation

They weren’t done with newspaper headlines. In 1945, the then 72 year old millionaire sought to divorce his child bride, charging desertion and infidelity. He died in 1948. She appears to have passed away in the early 1950’s

Dear @texasmonthly.bsky.social ,
This is what a lone cactus looks like in the middle of Central Park in New York City. Do you think it is sad because it is all alone? because Jerry Jones is ruining the Cowboys?

Dear @nytimes.com ,
If you are going to write about NY reporters receiving gratuities from the Adams campaign, the phot byline under the story shouldn’t say the 3 NYT reporters “welcome tips”. I blame Jay Root because he’s from Texas. @nytpitchbot.bsky.social @nytimes.wtf @texastribune.org

The feast is still going strong. In the Godfather 2, Young Vito killed Don Fannuchi during the parade for the feast of San Rocco in 1920. St. Rocco is the patron saint of dogs which makes him a great saint.

In their defense, I like the concept of a guacamole tasting flight and any place that hires showgirls to dance with a giant bowl of guacamole is OK by me 🥑

In “The Hunting Wives”, one of the fake East Texas guys is running for Governor. You know because he has a cowboy hat. He’s also cheating on his wife-like #txlege would stand for that (unless some morally derelict elected official got a giant sack of money to look the other way). Oh…wait a minute…

That being said, totes loves me some Malin Ackerman since 27 Dresses and Watchmen. Credit is due-she gives Coach Taylor’s wife a run for the money. She’s Landman crazy wife good. And that’s an above average Texas accent for a girl from Sweden. She is the only reason for a Season 2. #txlege

“The Hunting Wives” is the biggest piece of shit pretending to be Texas that I’ve seen in a while. I heard that it was filmed at a former presiding officer’s property in North Carolina. F’ you @netflix.com #txlege
