Started building a miniature Chinese street with Sticky that, hey! I got for cheap! Friends, it is cheap because there are no peel and paste stickers, ASMR-satisfying snaps, nor tiny accessories. Every wee bit has to be template-traced, cut, folded, glued, tweezed, and held fast 💀

According to Sticky, this bowl of globules of sago pearls is THE BEST thing I have ever cooked. (Not the roasts, the jiao zi...💀) Snow pear and white fungus tong sui for the heat. Details in alt text.
Boey holds a blue bowl of mostly cooked sago pearls. Background: slow cooker tong sui (sweet soup) of white fungus, snow pear, chinese red dates and rock sugar. Soup to cook for 2?? hours, chill, add sago, maybe peach gum. Fridge. Add more fruit if desired. Sago can also just be eaten cold on fruit.

Wearing out this blazer I made 10(? 11?) years ago. Japanese denim with faux sashiko prints. Partially lined, with cotton sateen. Probably should have ironed it this morning.
