Every once in a while I randomly remember the time a man cat called me by singing "Hey little girl, is your daddy home". Which is obviously disgusting, but it also cracks me up and it was so weird that I was a little flabbergasted.

Wat bedoel je "voor het eerst een rechts kabinet" #Yesilgöz? Moet toch pijnlijk zijn voor Rutte om dit te horen nadat hij al die jaren zo hard z'n best heeft gedaan op een volledige afbraak van de verzorgingsstaat...

In het gezegde "oude koeien uit de sloot halen", liggen er sindskort oude koeien in de sloot of liggen er koeien van onbepaalde leeftijd al lang in de sloot? En kunnen koeien zwemmen/is de sloot ondiep? Mn vraag is eigenlijk gewoon, leven de koeien nog? Want dan moeten we ze er denk ik uithalen...

Nobody tell me if they cover the TB suspicions in the Netflix original The Empress, I haven't finished season 2 yet. I do now kind of want to go through every piece of Kaiserin Elisabeth media (there's a lot!) again to see if TB is mentioned...

These instances of illness were probably psychosomatic and a good indication of how she felt in Vienna. However, her quick recoveries might have furthered the incorrect theory that a warm environment is an effective treatment for TB patients among some European doctors.

The doctor of the real Empress Elisabeth did indeed think she had TB and recommended time in a warm environment, first Madeira, and later Corfu. In both instances her coughing and fever improved quickly in these environments, but worsened almost immediately upon her return to Vienna.

I'm not sure what the every-day hammer equivalent of this would be, but whenever I lose/forget my medical hammer I refuse to go look for it and instead use the most ridiculous substitutions (side of a stethoscope works great, pen not so much). Maybe try a good stone?
