Powerful words in this thread from the statements of South Pacific Islands representatives as they seek #climatejustice at the ICJ.
Ralph Regenvanu, Special Envoy for Climate Change and
Environment for #Vanuatu: "I choose my words carefully when I say that this may well be the most consequential case in the history of humanity. Let us not allow future generations to look back and wonder why the cause of their doom was condoned."

At the bookstore today to pick up a gift order. As I’m leaving, one of the shop assistants looks at me and asks, ‘what came first, the glasses or the earrings?’. I said I wasn’t sure, it was organic, my life just seems to coalesce around this colour. She replied by asking if I’d ever read Bluets.

Up until 3 yrs ago I used to program Japanese cultural events, and got a lot of energy from the pop culture fan community - their passion, their dedication & their care for each other. Reading this article reminds me how special that little pocket of society is ❤️

A Cunningham’s skink came out to say hi on Sunday at Marley Head. Also spotted: echidna and dolphins! Sadly lots of dead shearwaters on the beach though, more than I’ve seen in a long time #wildoz

I have an #ozplants question. There’s a happy little Billardiera scandens (appleberry) in my garden that regularly fruits but before the fruits fully ripen, they start shrinking and it’s like they are reabsorbed back into the plant. Very curious - what is this and why does it happen?

Interesting to read the findings of such a wide-ranging study as backburning proceeds ahead of summer. As with many issues, it’s a more complex picture than what our authorities often present and we should reassess our thinking if we value biodiversity.

A sad but happy day to finally begin relocating over to this site. Sad to lose my old timeline with its memories and highlights from the past 10 years, but time to evolve and create a new one. A literal blue-sky digital identity moment 🥳
