Give it a like, a small comment, interact with it in some way. It goes a long way for underground artists.

I'm genuinely very, very sorry to do this, but it's the only option I have at this point.

Okay, so here goes.

I have not been particularly active for a number of reasons. I had a very rough last year of college in which I had to seriously lock in but I was able to successfully graduate. Afterwards, I moved to Boston through a program that helped cover my moving costs, and trained me over the summer to put me in a practically guaranteed job.

I had to move out from where I was living not only to escape the south in today's climate, but I wanted to start living independently away from family that I had bad blood with. I went through all of this because it seemed secure enough for a leap of faith and I was willing to take the steps needed to improve my life and make my life my own.

Well, I spent the entire summer building up to the start of my job, only to last a month there before they let me go with basically no notice to speak of. I have been left scrambling since, but finding a job has been largely met with failure, and my mental health has severely deteriorated.

For one reason or another I was fine for a while after my sudden termination, but I am now left with the ultimate question of what I'm doing next. I think for my own safety and security I probably need to move back in with my family at least until I can regroup and find another way forward, but that poses an issue when my family does not make a lot of money and can't really do much to help me at the moment. I really did not want to get to the point where I would be begging for help from strangers on the internet, but here we are. If anything, I probably should have done this a long time ago but I've always had problems asking people for help. Any support helps and is greatly appreciated.

I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.

Abandon Twitter for good. It's time. It's been time.

A quoted tweet from a user named Sam that reads: "How Twitter is rigged
Type in all caps because you're excited? Lowers your reputation. Include links? Your score goes down. It's like the Credit Score system from Hell.
And given Cisgender is treated as a slur & MAGA boosted, you can guess what's categorized as 'offensive'"

The tweet they quoted is from user SADIQ and reads:
"Tweepcred is X's reputation system
Based on your behavior, you get a tweepcred score
It determines your reach
Break the algo rules, you score goes down and your reach disappears
What are the rules of the X algo tho? Glad you asked."

SADIQ includes a photo of Twitter's algorithm code that calculates a user's reputation.

SADIQ continues:
"Post 'offensive text'? 80% reach reduction
Offensive username? 80% reach reduction
All caps tweet? That's seen as 'shouting. Major penalization.
Include links? Yup, penalized"
