Elena came 3 weeks early, spent a day in the NICU where I wasn’t allowed because I had norovirus, BUT our family has been reunited again and soaking in all the baby snuggles!

With 2024 coming to a close, and me being unlikely to finish reading another book before it does, I read a grand total of 8 books this year 😅 it was below my goal BUT every single book I read was an absolute banger. Probably my best reading year to date.

Read this in just over 24 hours. I had heard it was polarizing, and did not know what to expect. And no spoilers, but I actually loved it. So unsettling and anxiety inducing, and the ending… OOF.

Can’t decide if I want to work on my fully outlined Nordic Dante’s Inferno retelling (it’s very gay and very sad) OR a shiny new idea that’s a fantasy horror locked room murder mystery about a shapeshifting courtesan using their ability to absolve themselves of being accused of the crime.
