I enjoy poetry, design, illustration, and the outdoors. I love sharing haiku, tanka, and other forms of micropoetry with you. 🌸
Yes, I love many of the Studio Ghibli movies. ❤️ Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Nausicaä and My Neighbor Totoro are a few more excellent ones.

Thank you Wang, I just happened to see your thoughtful reply on this older post. I agree – I shared her powerful poem in part because we often focus most on those who are famous, rich, or powerful, and forget the impact of everyday people showing courage.

I like the sepia and vignette style of the photo, it emphasizes the sun well - lovely poem

I love the contrast with the background, I had to look closer to make certain the mushroom was real 🍄

Thank you. Reminds me of a book I loved as a teen — "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn."

Immediately thought of this . . .
a cartoon drawing of a fire with a smiley face

I absolutely love the colors in this photo. Exactly like powdered pumpkin cake. 🧡

Yes, experience can help, but poets and authors don't need to feel pressure to have exceptional lives in order to write well.

It's wonderful, and gives me hope. I like GiveDirectly because they are transferring the money directly through Propel (an app used by SNAP recipients). They can specifically target the families most at-risk and get aid to them first.

Thank you for discussing this in your poem. If this keeps up, I'm going to write some of my own haiku soon in the hope of getting a little more donations to those who need it. I recently posted some ideas and links. Hope this helps a little before Christmas.🎄

Thank you so much for your support from across the pond 💙😊I just posted resources in a thread that may help: bsky.app/profile/elli... Please share with anyone who needs it. While not just for Thanksgiving, you can donate through GiveDirectly to low-income families who are the most at risk and more.
November 8, 2025 at 3:11 AM
Direct transfers are an easy way to help the lowest-income households needing SNAP the most: www.givedirectly.org/snapgap/ Propel (an app used by millions on SNAP) and GiveDirectly have identified the most at-risk families.

If you can not afford to donate, consider community gardens as well. 🌱
