Playing ALL THE board games and regularly forgetting things while remaining a life-long resident of this Great Plains "Red State." Someday we'll be a bastion for socialist farmers again. Yeah, that could happen.

I usually take care of mine before the freeze, but was preoccupied this fall. I told my wife I'll do it later this week when the temps rise. I'd better set a reminder for that...

One thing I will have to remember when teaching this game is that it is usually beneficial to be more aggressive than defensive. This is a brawl, not an escape. That varies slightly for some characters, but generally you want to attack often.

It's a shame when great games get overshadowed. The market can get so oversaturated, it's not surprising, unfortunately.
I tried to buy a new copy for one of my kids and his fiance, but didn't come across one (ended up using BGG market).

I like Cascadia, but it doesn't hold a candle to Ecos for me.
Ecos is not only one of my favorites, but it's become one with my family (who are not all gamers)!

Religion really can't help but swing from uplifting expression of our better selves to malignant cancer on our humanity. It is a tool whose purpose is defined by its users.

68, for the most part. But I got one of those newfangled schedulable thermostats when the last one broke (it's actually quite low-tech compared to the other offerings out there).

Curious, innit? Almost as if he was sheltered from certain realities of the world around him, and never learned to look beyond.

What a sickening state of affairs this story represents. Fear mongering is the biggest tool of the alt-Right (and not so alt) and they use effectively.

Some of his accusations here sound like confessions. At the same time, there's very much a "leopards eating faces" mood about it. These dangerous saps are what you get when ambition and delusion rule your worldview.
