Embrace Collapse

Political and economic systems collapse. It's inevitable. It may be imminent. We can deny it, resist it, or embrace it. To make the best of it, we need to start adapting now.
The worst that they can do to you is to destroy everything you've ever cared about, which is no more than nature is bound to do regardless.

The news has recently been feeling like "strike me down, and I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine". I think it's a lot of wishful thinking though.

I haven't been following the party that closely, but I see that between 2020 and 2024 they removed the plank explicitly calling for abortion to be legal. Their documents still give the impression that they are much more pro-choice than America in general, even women.

This problem was caused by the greed of the people at the top. It is not a problem for workers to fix. If this kind of problem falls on your plate, don't play the hero to make up for your boss's cheapness. If you are going to work your ass off, demand a huge bonus.

Fun footnote. See how Trump is using the government to promote his business! The 'share' links include LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and Truth social... but no BlueSky, despite being much bigger than Truth! I feel so left out.

Second point: there is only one known transfer from animals to humans. That's contested, but even if it's true, so what. We can't expect every pandemic to play out the same way. Also, China learned from the mulitple SARS outbreaks and quickly took action to prevent more Covid outbreaks.

They summarize their argument in five points. Five very weak points. Point 1 is "The virus possesses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature." I honestly don't know what this means.

It opens by presenting Anthony Fauci as some scientific puppet master who pressured the "Proximal Origins" authors to write their paper. Fauci was definitely influential, but the authors had plenty of reasons of their own to write the paper. Scientists want to write high-impact papers.

Including the brothels it seems, based on the picture of him checking out that woman like a piece of meat. But at least they seem open minded to everyone's taste... including belly-dancers with beards.
