I feel like I just have no vision for what makes a visually compelling protagonist... I've struggled with it for years and it's held me back from ever finishing anything because I feel like I need to get the main character right. It doesn't help that I have like 50%/moderate aphantasia 😔

I’ve been on this pixel art (and taking art in general more seriously for the first time since I was a kid) journey for a few years now and although I have clearly improved a lot in that time, I still look at other artists work and feel like I will never measure up, like I’m not on the level

Sokoban Soulslike? Void Stranger makes me think it could actually be a compelling combination. Like Void Stranger with but with more of an emphasis on positioning based tactical combat puzzles. I might just be describing a classic roguelike though…
