indiedevs are why videogames became big business, wouldn't exist without them and deserve as much support, keeping that spirit alive—

I want to see indie developers explore the concepts of limited movement more, similar to Classic Castlevania; how you had no control over the direction of your jumps mid air, and the slight delay in your attacks. where every movement you make matters. that last point is really what I want to see

This is HUGE NEWS for games made in Unity!

If you're a Unity dev you can now add native screen reader support for mobile and PC/Mac using the native OS screen readers! So Windows Narrator and macOS VoiceOver will be able to be used in PC/Mac games!!!!

This will be HUGE for blind players!!!

Unity is expanding support for native screen readers, making it easier for developers to implement screen reader support for blind accessibility on more platforms.

After Android and iOS, starting with Unity 6.3 it supports Windows and MacOS as well.

I'm unsure about the perfect free platform. But consider how others will find your content and how it will display on social posts and webhooks, that might define which one you go with

If you accidentally use up all your oxygen, you can replenish it with an industrial laser. Backscatter technology allows you to extract it from water, which is often found in asteroids (only bright pixels - everything else is empty rock). #indiedev #jittergame

Ive seen this work well for games with simple / small amount of control schemes.

Just make sure it's easy to distinguish against the menu buttons

There could easily be showrooms running the first episode of many different anime, something Crunchyroll or other major platforms could put on for almost no cost and could be used to introduce viewers to the less popular shows.

Back from #animenyc, had a great time meeting some indie devs and snagged some gorgeous art. I couldn't help but feel like there's not enough to do outside of purchasing.

There were less than 6 panels per day and barely any shows. A surprising lack of anime to watch at Anime NYC.

Thankfully wireless cards are typically one of the easiest to replace in a laptop. And are pretty cheap online if you have problems in the future

In the last decade I've released more than 160 packs of 2D sprites and 50+ packs of 3D models - they're all completely free to use by anyone for anything! Not thinking of stopping anytime soon, it's a lot of fun and the community support is fantastic! ✨

my word-game roguelike is coming out soon! It's called TOMB OF THE BLOODLETTER, and here you can see its unique map-navigation in action. Build the map yourself out of words! it's words all the way down!
