ISAAC CHOTINER: so, you've never claimed to have a task underway when you've merely opened the file?
ME: that's not-

Cards Football fans, am I wrong in thinking that maybe Brohm having to find a new recruiting director to replace Nochta isn’t necessarily a bad thing? Recruiting effectiveness doesn’t seem to be our strongest suit at the moment.

“Bound for the United States”

I really, desperately want ONE of these people involved in these inquiries to ask a very simple 2 part question.

“What is the typical fuel capacity of these vessels and how many refuelings would they require to make it to the U.S.?”

The Navy/DEA/CG knows…
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."

Yeah, this all tracks. Although I’m surprised Treaty Oak made the top 5 and the only explanation I have is that 2 of their songs ended up in my “driving to the gym” playlist.

Also, first time in 7 years without Isbell in my top 5. Weird.

Get Becky’s new National Park guide!

Looking forward to using the foldout map on a bulletin board in our RV to track our visits.
What's in this new edition of Moon USA National Parks that hit bookstores today?

Besides an updated chapter on each national park, it has a
foldout map locating the parks!

Here's where you can order it:

Cory interrupting the officiant to scold that “do you, Cory, take Alexis…” is “just the sort of gotcha question that pushes people out of the Democratic Party. We’ve become so polarized that our need to label our friends and colleagues with a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’ is exactly what got us in this mess.”

Looks like I’m going to need to renew my National Parks America the Beautiful pass BEFORE the end of December this year, expiration date be damned.

Finished these first episodes in batch one of Stranger Things Season 5 tonight. Glad they weren’t this gory in season 1-2 or the kids would have never watched. I’m still a bit surprised.

Oh, the writing and acting is waaay off this season, even by their usual campy standards.

Hi, it’s me. An (unlikely) executive in a F500 company. Execs often operate by making inferences/decisions based on summary data often provided to them by others w/ a blanket assumption of accuracy. They demonstrate confidence and expertise by summarizing the effort of others. This is why they AI.
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

It’s never really been an issue for me that my folks drink when they’re here and even keep bourbon and wine in a cabinet downstairs. But good Lord, there’s a point in the evening when a switch flips and the aggregate volume and vibes go from chatty glowy to holy shit why are you so loud, CHILL.
