you’re right, and statistics agree with you, I didn’t know that 89% of nurses identified as women, and 77% of teachers. I thought those jobs had gotten more diverse than they actually have.

that pretty much solidifies for me that teachers and nurses *are* the female equivalent of blue collar jobs.

oh they would have gotten me with this one because I would have demanded a picture without a thought

I know these aren’t gendered jobs, but that perception definitely existed of teachers and nurses a few decades ago and I feel like those count as unionized/blue collar jobs.
