This is the howling of Russia and its vassals. Every normal person must answer only one question: If in the 1930s known fascists and Nazis had been eliminated, even brutally and against the law, would it have been reprehensible? The situation is the same now - we must act.
This sounds logical and should be done. EU, by allowing hostile activity on its territory, sends a signal that it is weak and does not deter Russia. This intensifies the chaos and sends a very bad signal and it can practically encourage deeper aggression.

Good piece, tho I'd argue Europe shouldn't rule out sending forces to Ukraine even without a US backstop. It could end up in a fiasco (though Europe shdn't underestimate its own strength), but if the Ukrainians can't prevent Ru victory on their own, that would be an even bigger horror for Europe.
