The water level has been low for several years 🤔
Even with the good rainfall we had this year, it’s still lower than it was several years ago. Many of the pocket waters that used to hold trout don’t anymore 😢

Went to the lab in the morning, detoured for some fly fishing, caught three trout for Tuesday’s dinner, took my son to a soccer tryout, did some grocery shopping, and had a dinner out. A very productive day 😊

I rarely use a full-size net…usually just a little one or a small folding net for smaller fish😊
But after seeing this letter, I checked the basement and couldn’t find my regular net🤔 I guess I lost it😭

Yes, good amounts...I forgot about that, although they are not abundant as Redbreast sunfish. I prefer Rock bass though.

This creek is stocked with trout in spring, but in June, most trout are gone, and warm water species are the targets 😊
A paradise for Redbreast sunfish, Fallfish, and White Suckers and smaller Smallmouth with occasional Largemouth 😊

I wanted to go to a colder creek for trout fishing, but with limited time, I went for a nearby creek😊
To make things a little more exciting, I pushed through a dense thicket and ended up under the freeway, fishing a stretch I only occasionally visit😉
