And to cap it all, the AG put his opinion into the public domain at the ICJ in February 2024. No trade with illegal occupiers. It is that simple.
"This week, RTÉ showed exactly what ‘not waiting for Europe’ looks like, while the government continues to shirk its own promises in favour of more meetings with the Attorney General."

Here's this week's column.

#Bluetongue Virus's arrival in Ireland is a #climate change story as well as an animal welfare concern.

Endemic in sub-tropics, but unheard of in Europe until the late '90s. Changing humidity and temperature allowed the infected midges to survive in ever more northerly areas.

People in #Gaza need an unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid.

While UNRWA is ready to deliver shelter supplies for up to 1.3 million people, the Israeli Authorities continue to block the Agency from bringing aid in.

The scale of UNRWA's work in Gaza must be restored to its fullest capacity.

I know far too many people who have been knocked off their bikes, and not once has it happened because of poor visibility or because they were not lit up enough. In each case, it was the fault of dangerous driving and/or dangerous infrastructure.
👀 Can you see me now?

The importance of visibility on our roads cannot be understated, particularly for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists, e-scooter drivers and motorcyclists.

Roads lobby just before the next general election: WE NEED A SECOND BYPASS OF DUBLIN OUTSIDE THE M50!
DART+ South West is shelved until 2030. It has full planning approval since 2024, no judicial reviews and is ready to go but construction won't start until after 2030. A lot of housing around Adamstown and Clonburris built in anticipation of this upgrade.

Is this the first time we've seen action like this towards companies "continuing to breach their license"?
Great to see some strong EPA enforcement against North Cork Creameries for continuing to breach their licence.

They're not allowed to discharge again until the EPA are satisfied they'll be compliant with their licence, which, given their track record, won't be easy

🇮🇪 LONG STORY SHORT ON IRELAND’S WORLD CUP PLAYOFFS:

We will have home advantage for our semi-final as long as:
• Bosnia don’t beat Austria on Tuesday
• Wales don’t beat North Macedonia on Tuesday

The seeding pots are based on FIFA’s world rankings and, as things currently stand, Ireland are pot 2.

One worry I have about the local link is if they cut the funding or didn't renew a contract. And slowly more and more people will begin to rely on it. Connectivity is key and we have to maintain it
I'm a bit of a nerd about this - but it's hard to quantify just how popular Local Link buses have been in 'rural Ireland' - new one will link villages from Cork to Kerry that haven't had a bus service since the 1960s... www.corkbeo.ie/news/local-n...
