Human. Mostly water. Rational redneck. Breaker and Builder of Things. Occasionally amusing.
Amen.

As the only surviving member of the family that enjoys the notorious NPR cranberry relish, I'll have 3 servings in memory of those who can no longer enjoy it.

Mama Stamberg's Cranberry Relish Recipe
Every year as Thanksgiving approaches, fans ask Susan Stamberg for her mother-in-law's recipe for cranberry relish. Read that recipe and a bonus recipe for garlicky cranberry chutney.

Dallas is the capital of the soulless state of Baja Oklahoma. Seven million people worth of strip malls and bitumen. As Anatolia is to Europe and Asia, linked to both but connected to neither.

I have done well in not knowing who that person is. I suspect, whomever they may be, that I might not care for them.

Wow, that's high praise. Hope to be able to join you again some day.

If it helps, think of him as a Red Raider. As an OkState alum, I'm conflicted on whether I'm enjoying his redemption arc. If he plants a Bucs flag at midfield in Philly, I might even buy a jersey.

Noice. I'm keeping my eyes on them. I had the original, but I'm interested in what they're doing this time.

Were I making a musical accompaniment to Tigana, I might choose the Kronos Quartet's Black Angels. Ugly, hateful, discordant music and utterly appropriate for genocide.

Loved the book, but way too many parallels in modern society. And in history.

I tried to text you shortly after that 7 run inning. Heck of a start to the series. Text back if you still have my number.

Ach! The meals there! When we thought we could take over the world. I guess, we did, in a way.
