Bottom line: for #managers, healthy skepticism is key. Reliable, #EvidenceBased principles—however old—are worth more than the latest management fad with no solid backing
The challenge: make sure the principle still fits your current context--which changes less often than business media suggests

While it can be frustratingly slow, this thoroughness is what protects us from jumping to conclusions based on flashy trends or single success stories.

Why the disconnect? Academic rigor takes time. Separating correlation (“these two things happened together”) from causation (“this actually led to that”) requires detailed studies and careful peer review --a process that can take years.

There's a common perception among companies that academics are out of touch with real-world needs—they don't deliver answers when they're needed most.
