In the 27 years I've lived here, I've never had any family visit me. Mom, dad, nor my brother ever came to visit me. Friends have, not family.
Until today, when my cousin Carmela and her funny husband Todd (and my Addams Family cousin Delaney) came to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us.

I cannot tell you how happy this girl is since we’ve been home. She hardly ever sits with me, but lately she’s sat with me every evening and purred and napped on my leg. She’s so happy to be back in her own space after her summer Seattle adventure.

One of my favorites is The Hairdresser's Husband (Le Mari de la coiffeuse) from 1990.
Ahhh, so wonderful. The ending is tragic of course, but the film is a comedy-drama.
I need to watch it again.

This (the metal part) anchor was in my arm from my PICC line. They took out the day before I left Seattle. It looks gruesome, and it is. It felt like a really bad pinch. There was also a catheter (line) going all the way to my heart that she pulled out as well. Felt nothing on that.
