Some say it is illegal to arrest a sitting president. It is not. The president is subject to the law like everyone. That none have been arrested in the U.S. is only a policy internal to the DOJ based on the need for continuity of government operations--a policy that never imagined a criminal POTUS.

There isn’t much for our Supreme Court to hear, the Constitution is already clear. And just to be absolutely clear: the Supreme Court does not have the power to overrule or rewrite our Constitution.

Europe's trajectory -- especially since the treaty was signed in Maastricht -- has been pretty damn admirable. Grand experiments aren't without stumbles, hiccups, and corrections (see also: USA,) but continued improvement is the aim. It definitely isn't for the U.S. to define greatness for Europe.

Huge inflation. Donald Trump supports inflationary pricing that supports profit margins of the company's he and his sons have invested in.
He sees America as his company. F*** all of us.
Americans are exposing Trump's "no inflation" lies with actual grocery receipts.
The receipts are BRUTAL.

You can call him to tell him he's a piece of shit here:

I had a nice chat with a young man who said that "settlers aren't immigrants because immigration is defined as coming to a new state, and settlers came to the US before the State existed."

An academic (and incorrect) argument.

Historically, big tech cycles (internet, mobile, cloud) pushed prices down and boosted real wages.
But AI may break that pattern.

Two potential outcomes:

What’s really driving US power demand?

Industrial 26%
Residential 38%
Commercial 31%
Data Centers *5%*

Looking out to 2035, data centers could account for 35% of incremental power demand. Biggest power hog is expected to remain building electrification.

Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.
