We can only assume he has 125,000 in dividend income over and above what he has in taxfree ISA income! As he is in his mid 50's and have so much unsheltered dividend income I can assume he has [at least] some 400,000 in ISA savings giving [at least] an additional 20,000 or so tax free income

For a Canadian born Norwegian living in England with rain and dullness, I can tell you - in many ways I miss the days working as a plater ijn the ship yards and having -17C and the wind blowing in the fjord giving a feel factor of -30. You can have FUN in and with snow not so much with rain!

Same with laptops, computers, car, washing machines, TV's - you name it! Repair and use until all use is worn out of the items.

Have not been "home" for 65 years but all that snow almost makes me homesick :D
