you can not rely on bluesky to handle everything. this is also true of every other large network

the difference is that here, you don't necessarily *have* to rely on them to handle everything to be able to keep your connections. you have options

it also doesn't help that the policies on @moderation.bsky.app are basically pre-elon twitter's policies, down to their faults (though i guess that's kind of the point?)

i think it's good actually that there are choices for labelers/moderation providers

i just don't like how poorly they've communicated to people that the choice exists, and that it's difficult to switch entirely to a different provider without switching clients

tweaked the indexes a bit, the feeds should be faster now

yeah, it seems to take a while to query smaller pdses (the mycosphere, blacksky, witchcraft.systems, etc. all load mostly fine)

trying to figure out how i could optimize this, but my sqlite knowledge seems to be failing me...
