Joaquin Phoenix in Eddington looks just like my cousin. My cousin might be more sane.
I had the hardest time seeing Joaquin in this character because of the costume and beard, but the crazy came through in the end.

I walked into the kitchen and flipped on the lights to get some pain meds from my bag. I looked into the dark living room. A furry void stared back with hopeful eyes, in a "What's up? Do you have treats?" way. As if I'm supposed to believe he wasn't in the middle of some M.D.K. plan (toy/mate/bug).

I'm highly disturbed by how warm it is in Denver for mid-November. I got my winter coat out, but I can't wear it because it'll be in the 70°F this week.

I went to the funeral. Dad and the cousin decided to behave in public so things were fairly civilized.
It was good to see family. Overall, I'm glad I came for a visit.
However, I'm looking forward to the general sanity of Denver.
